Qataf Investment and Marketing Company participated in the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) in 2019, held from April 3rd to April 6th. Qataf’s delegation at the exhibition included the Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager, Mr. Mu’in Sheiteh.
Qataf was among the Palestinian companies present at the exhibition, which featured over 1,000 exhibitors from around the world. “Opening markets and understanding their needs are our most important tools in supporting and developing Palestinian exports.”
Under the aforementioned title and organized by the Palestinian Trade Center, Qataf Investment and Marketing Company, represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Mu’in Sheiteh, participated in SIAL Canada exhibition in 2019 alongside nine Palestinian companies represented by Palestinian businesswomen and businessmen from the food and agriculture sectors.
This participation was supported and contributed to by the Canadian government in collaboration with the TFO Foundation. It is worth noting that this participation is part of the Palestinian Trade Center’s plan to promote Palestinian exports and as a continuation of the Canadian market entry project that took place last year, which included bilateral meetings with Canadian businessmen.
A series of events and activities were organized by the Palestinian Trade Center for the participating Palestinian delegation. The General Manager of the Palestinian Trade Center, Mr. Mohammed Nseir, stated that the center, along with all partners, seeks to enter new markets to open up opportunities for Palestinian exporters, believing that diversifying and expanding markets helps the Palestinian export sector to discover new prospects.

The Palestinian delegation received a reception from the Palestinian Ambassador to Canada, Mr. Nabil Maroof, in the presence of Mr. Ahmad Jadalallah, the President of the Canadian Palestinian community.
HALAL EXPO 2019 TURKEY

The seventh edition of the Halal Expo, known as the 5th Global Halal Summit, was inaugurated in Istanbul, Turkey on Thursday, November 28th, with the participation of Qataf Investment and Marketing Company, represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Mu’in Sheiteh.
The exhibition, which runs until December 1st, 2019, at the Eurasia Art and Exhibition Center, is held under the sponsorship of the Turkish Presidency, under the theme “Halal for All Generations: Importance of Family and Youth.”
Approximately 400 local and foreign companies from 50 different countries specialized in the fields of food, finance, tourism, cosmetics, health, packaging, chemistry, and fashion are participating in this year’s edition of the exhibition. This event is an important global manifestation as it provides distinguished display areas, a platform for a wide range of workshops, meetings, and events, and a suitable opportunity for participating companies to enhance their position in the halal products market.
The exhibition covers an area of 14,000 square meters and offers an opportunity to hold meetings between more than 300 sales delegations from various participating countries, facilitating marketing and business meetings.
Mr. Sheiteh affirmed that participating in the Halal Expo, alongside companies and products from different countries worldwide, provides an opportunity to promote and market Palestinian products to a larger number of countries, highlighting the development of Palestinian companies’ work and the quality of the national product despite all challenges and difficulties.
He also emphasized that the Palestinian product, based on the observations and feedback from visitors to the company’s booth at the exhibition, is gaining respect worldwide, as evidenced by the increasing demand for it from countries around the world, with the imported markets for Palestinian products expanding.
Mr. Sheiteh praised the Palestinian participation in the Halal Expo and the display of Qataf’s Palestinian dates, which attracted visitors’ admiration at the exhibition. He noted that Qataf packs and exports its products according to Palestinian and international specifications under the direct supervision of the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of National Economy.

Dr. Khaled Al-Asaily, the Minister of National Economy, and the Palestinian Ambassador to Turkey, Faid Mustafa, visited Qataf’s booth at the exhibition. They emphasized the importance of conveying and introducing the world to the national product and its quality, as well as the significance of marketing it globally within the framework of the trade openness policy with the world.
Mr. Mu’in Sheiteh, the Chairman of Qataf’s Board of Directors, commended the Minister of National Economy, Dr. Khaled Al-Asaily, for his support and promotion of the national product worldwide. He also appreciated his personal presence at the company’s booth in the exhibition, accompanied by the Palestinian Ambassador.

Qataf Investment and Marketing Company is participating in one of the most important and largest specialized global exhibitions in food and agriculture, ANUGA, held in Germany. The company is represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Mu’in Sheiteh. This exhibition is considered the largest meeting point for major international companies, with 8,200 companies participating from more than 130 countries.
The primary goal of the company’s participation in this exhibition is to convey and market Palestinian products to a larger number of countries. Qataf showcases the finest and highest quality Palestinian dates, supporting the national product. ANUGA is one of the largest food exhibitions in the world.

CHINA 2019
Mr. Muin Shatiyeh, the Chairman of the Board of Qetaf Investment and Agricultural Marketing Company, participated in the activities of the National Palestinian Day at the International Beijing Horticultural Exhibition.
Beijing, 17th June 2019: As part of the official visit agenda of the Palestinian Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Riyad Attari, and the accompanying delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and the Palestinian Trade Center (PalTrade) represented by Chairman of the Board, Mr. Arafat Asfour, and a number of businessmen and companies operating in the private agricultural sector in Palestine, a meeting was held on Monday between Palestinian and Chinese businessmen in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of Palestine to the People’s Republic of China, Dr. Fares Mahdawi, at the Embassy of the State of Palestine, with the participation of the businessman and Chairman of the Board of Qetaf, Mr. Muin Shatiyeh.
During the meeting, the Minister of Agriculture discussed the mutual cooperation between the Palestinian and Chinese parties in enhancing agricultural trade exchange and investment opportunities in the Palestinian agricultural sector. The meeting recommended the establishment of a Palestinian-Chinese business forum in the agricultural field.

Dubai – GulFood exhibition is the most important gathering for leaders in the food sector worldwide, attracting over 100,000 visitors from 200 countries annually. Qetaf participated in GulFood 2020, held in Dubai from the 16th to the 20th of the current month, as an exhibitor alongside many global, Arab, and Palestinian companies. They showcased their various types and sizes of Palestinian dates.
Mr. Muin Shatiyeh, the Chairman of the Board, and Executive Director Hassan Shatiyeh represented Qetaf at the exhibition. On the first day of the event, Mr. Muin Shatiyeh, along with Executive Director Hassan Shatiyeh and the rest of the company’s team, welcomed the Jordanian Minister of Economy, Chairman of the Board of PalTrade, Mr. Arafat Asfour, Mr. Youssef Lahham, and the Chairman of the Board of Sankari Holding, Mr. Mazen Sankari, at the company’s booth.
Qetaf’s booth witnessed a visit from visitors worldwide on the second day of GulFood, which is hosted by the Dubai World Trade Center in its 25th edition from 16th to 20th of the current month. The company showcased its Palestinian dates, introduced them to visitors, and offered them a taste of these dates.
Visitors included the Jordanian Minister of Economy, Chairman of the Board of PalTrade, Mr. Arafat Asfour, Mr. Youssef Lahham, the Chairman of the Board of Sankari Holding, Mr. Mazen Sankari, and clients from Germany, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. Qetaf’s booth was also honored by a visit from the Arab Union for Dates.
Netherlands B2B 2019
Businessman Mu’in Shatiya, Chairman of Qataf, participated in a meeting that brought together Palestinian business leaders with their Dutch counterparts in the field of dates, herbs, and olive oil. The meeting was organized by the Palestinian Trade Center (PalTrade) as part of a project aimed at creating a conducive environment for green economy in Palestine.
The meeting was inaugurated by the CEO of PalTrade, Mr. Mohammad Nasibah, who emphasized the importance of these meetings in opening new export opportunities for Palestinian products to compete in global markets. Thirteen Dutch companies involved in importing these varieties, as well as a company specializing in promoting participating companies in European platforms, attended the meeting from the Dutch side.
The following day, the Ambassador of Palestine to the Netherlands, Ms. Rawan Sulaiman, hosted a delegation of Palestinian businessmen at the embassy and discussed economic cooperation prospects with Dutch partners. The embassy expressed its readiness to facilitate trade exchanges and overcome any obstacles in order to boost the national economy.
In conclusion, Qataf extends its thanks and appreciation to the Palestinian Embassy in the Netherlands and PalTrade for organizing this fruitful meeting with our Dutch counterparts.
